Lithium Quartz Crystal

Lithium Quartz is a member of the quartz family, a silicon dioxide mineral with a hardness of 7. It occurs as prismatic Quartz crystals with inclusions of lavender or pinkish gray material. The included material is lithium-bearing, which explains the derivation of the name. The only known source for this rare material is a very remote area of Minas Gerais, Brazil, SA.
