Ruby in Zoisite - LG

AKA: Anyolite

Zoisite is a structurally complex mineral having both single silicate tetrahedrons, SiO₄, and double silicate tetrahedrons, Si₂O₇. The brilliant green variety with black hornblende inclusions is known as anyolite, and is often associated with medium grade rubies as found in these specimens. The red rubies are often distorted and irregularly spread through the sea of massive green zoisite.
